Itinerary

  • day 1

    Arrive Chandigarh-Manali ( 350 km) :

    Arrive Chandigarh. On arrival transfer to hotel at Manali.Overnight at hotel.

  • day 2

    Manali - Sarchu (222 Kms) :

    Early in the morning from the Manali Hotel and one on Sarchu, driving across Rohtang Pass (13050ft) and going through Keylong, Jispa and Dracha and then across the Passport Pass (16020 ft) to reach Sarchu late in the afternoon. Last night in a steady camp at Sarchu.

  • day 3

    Sarchu - Leh (255 Kms) :

    After leaving breakfast for Leh en-route, crossing Nakeela and Lachalung-la Pass (16,617 feet). Break for lunch at Pang and then drive towards Leh going through Skyangchu Thang (a large plate stretching for 42 km) and then crossing Taglang-La (17,585 feet) and driving through Upper Upper Glen. Reach Leh evening. Overnight in the hotel.

  • day 4

    In Leh: visit the town and surrounds :

    The morning is resting for the rest after the long trip. After lunch, visit Shanti Stupa, Sankar Gompa, Leh Palace & the markets. Tonight tonight at the hotel.

  • day 5

    Leh - Pangong Lake (150 kms.) :

    An early event for Pangong Lake (about 145 km, located on the Indo border of China), through Chang-la pass (section: 17370 ft). After the full day of the spectacle across the Lake check into a tented tent fixed near the lake at Spangmik or drive back for 30 km to Tangtse and check into the Hotel / Guest House for overnight stay.

  • day 6

    Pangong-Hemis / Thiksey-Leh (165 kms.):

    After breakfast, leave Pangong / Tangtse and return the Leh way over Chang-la. Following Karu, drive around the Indudes and visit the famous Hemis Abbey, Ladakh's largest monastery. Later drive on Leh, visiting the picturesque Thiksey monastery. Overnight in the hotel.

  • day 7

    Leh-Khardongla- Nubra Valley (125 kms.) :

    After leaving breakfast for the Nubra Valley, driving around Khardong-la (section: 18,380 feet). After going out of the pass, drive to look at the Sumoor and Samstaling Gompa area. Check into a fixed camp later in the same area or forward to Deskit / Hundar for a night in a camp or a steady hotel.

  • day 8

    Nubra Valley- Khardongla-Leh (125 kms.) :

    In the morning go to / explore Deskit, Hundar and the Sandwalls where you can spend short camel safety using the double bacterial camel found here (optional for direct payment). Later, drive back to Leh coming late in the evening / evening. Tonight tonight at the hotel.

  • day 9

    Leh-Alchi / Uleytokpo: (70 kms.) :

    After enjoying a hobbies breakfast in the Indus Valley on the first leg of your trip to Kargil & Srinagar. In this way, visit the Fame Hall, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Point, Sangam (confluence of Rivers and Indians & Zanskar) and then the 11th century Alchi Choskor, the oldest manufactured complex of his wall frescoes and architecture - UNESCO listed heritage site. Overnight in the camp / holiday at Uleytokpo.

  • day 10

    Uleytokpo : Lamayuru-Kargil (135 kms.) :

    After leaving the breakfast for Kargil, visit the Lamayuru monastery that is well positioned and the nearby "Moonland" hills. On the way to Kargil you can watch the 9-Mt. A high rock sculpture of the Mitreya Buddha at Mulbek (7th-8th AD). Overnight in the hotel at Kargil.

  • day 11

    Kargil-Sonamarg-Srinagar (205kms) :

    An early departure for Srinagar driving through the Drass (world famous second place) and crossing the Zoji-la Pass (11,500ft / 3,505m) to reach Sonamarg hill station from where it is driving gently through the beautiful Kashmir to reach Srinagar. Overnight in the hotel at Srinagar.

  • day 12

    Departure Srinagar :

    Early morning transfer to the airport for taking the flight back home.
